Universal’s President, International, will receive the honour at a luncheon in Amsterdam on June 22 as part of Cinema Expo.

David Kosse, Universal Pictures’ President, International, will be honoured as Cinema Expo’s 2010 International Distributor of the Year.
He will receive the award during a luncheon on June 22 at Amsterdam RAI Exhibition & Congress Centre.

“It is a great honour for Cinema Expo to be able to single out David for all he has done throughout his career as one of the most respected and admired International Distribution Executives in the business, ” said the event’s MD Robert H. Sunshine. “You could not ask for a more dedicated leader whose passion and commitment to both his company and the industry has helped bring film to so many moviegoers around the world”.

At Universal, his hits have included Mamma Mia!, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, Wanted, The Bourne Ultimatum, and Inglourious Basterds.

Before joining Universal in 2004, Kosse ran Momentum Pictures. He has previously worked for PolyGram, HBO, and Ogilvy and Mather.

Cine Expo, now in its 19th year, runs June 21-24.
