Robbie Pickering’s film stars Rachael Harris as a housewife whose orderly life is turned upside-down when she decides to track down her husband’s estranged son.

The Cinema Guild has set an autumn theatrical release for the film, which launched in competition at SXSW and won the grand jury award and audience awards for best narrative feature as well as the breakthrough performance award for Harris and co-star Matt O’Leary.

Brion Hambel and Paul Jensen of Best Medicine Productions produced. Justin Moore-Lewy and Charlie Mason served as executive producers.

Ryan Krivoshey of The Cinema Guild brokered the deal with Maren Olson and Asher Goldstein of Traction Media and Peter Trinh of ICM. ICM also represents O’Leary.

The Cinema Guild’s next release will be Steve James’ acclaimed documentary The Interrupters.

  • ATO has picked up US theatrical rights to Werc Werk Works’ thriller Thin Ice (formerly The Convincer) starring Greg Kinnear, Alan Arkin, Billy Crudup, Lea Thompson, David Harbour and Bob Balaban. Jill Sprecher directed. The distributor has set an autumn release.
