Ed Noeltner’s Beverly Hills–based sales company Cinema Management Group will commence talks with buyers in Toronto on Michael Corrente’s Manhattan-set romantic thriller which IFC will release in North America.

Peter Facinelli wrote, produced and stars alongside Michael Madsen, Vincent Gallo and Jamie Alexander in the story of a pickpocket whose world is thrown into turmoil after he steals a police officer’s badge and learns that he has become a father following a one-night stand. Facinelli produced with Verdi, Noah Kraft and Glenn Ciano.

Noeltner will screen Loosies for buyers during the festival. UTA’s Bec Smith brokered the deal between CMG and Verdi Productions and the acquisition of North American rights by IFC.

“In the vein of Sidney Lumet and Martin Scorsese, Loosies has that gritty big city feel as a backdrop to what are the intersecting lives of several fascinating screen characters,” CMG president Noeltner said. “Bobby, played brilliantly by Peter Facinelli, is the quintessential honourable criminal of the 21st Century.”

“We put a lot of heart, soul and money into making Loosies a top-notch theatrical feature and we are delighted to be working with the team at CMG, who share our passion and vision for this film,” Verdi said. “We are very excited for Toronto.”
