eOne will distribute the Lava Bear and Porchlight Films drama in the UK, Canada and Benelux, while Nordisk will release in Scandinavia and Sun Distribution in Latin America.

Michôd’s follow-up to Animal Kingdom stars Guy Pearce (pictured) and Robert Pattinson and has gone to Italia for the Middle East and Revolutionary Releasing for Eastern Europe excluding Russia.

As previously announced Village Roadshow picked up The Rover for Australia and New Zealand. FilmNation acquired the majority of worldwide sales rights and co-represents the US with UTA Independent Film Group. 

David Linde will produce for Lava Bear Films alongside Liz Watts for Porchlight and Michôd. The story takes place in a dystopian near future in the Australian outback where a tough loner goes after the thugs who stole his car.

Lava Bear’s development slate features A Giant, the Untitled Goffigan Thriller and Untitled David Goyer Project. Porchlight produced Animal Kingdom, The Hunter and Little Fish among others. FilmNation’s sales slate includes Toronto opener Looper, A Most Wanted Man, Terrence Malick’s To The Wonder, Knight Of Cups and an untitled project with Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling
