ARC Entertainment has acquired domestic theatrical and home entertainment rights to Benjamin Epps’ comedy starring Kristin Chenoweth, Matthew Modine and Olesya Rulin.

Family Weekend follows an overachieving teenager and her efforts to bring the family unit closer together.

Matt K Turner wrote the screenplay and Adam Saunders and Chris Aronoff produced through Footprint Features in association with The Bedford Falls Company. Youmi N Ma is the executive producer.

ARC Entertainment president Rich Goldberg and Peter Jarowey brokered the deal with The Film Sales Company.

  • Philadelphia-based Breaking Glass Pictures has acquired all domestic theatrical and ancillary rights to Jules Stewart’s drama K-11. Breaking Glass CEO Rich Wolff struck the deal after Toronto with Libertine Films’ Tom Wright and the distributor eyes a late 2012-early 2013 release.
  • Sundance 2011 entry Codependent Lesbian Space Alien Seeks Same will receive its digital premiere on iTunes on Oct 16. Writer-director Madeleine Olnek is making the film available through the Sundance Institute Artist Services Program and Cinedigm.
