Film won awards at Cinequest and now headed for Full Frame and HotDocs.

Dogwoof Global Sales, the UK distributor’s new sales arm, has taken on sales for Jesse Vile’s Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet.

The Dogwoof Global team of Vesna Cudic and Ana Vicente will act as sole international representatives for TV, online, theatrical and DVD rights.

The documentary recently won the audience award and special jury prize for documentary feature at the Cinequest Film Festival and it will next travel to Full Frame and HotDocs.

Dogwoof negotiated the sales rights directly with director/producer Jesse Vile.

The film is about the shred guitar virtuoso who was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease at age 20.

“We were instantly taken by this incredible story of the survival of the human spirit in the face of adversity; and we look forward to working with Jesse to spread the extraordinary story of Jason Becker to the world,” Cudic said.

Other titles on the Dogwoof’s sales slate include Marina Abramovic The Artist Is Present and How Much Does Your Building Weigh, Mr Foster.
