EXCLUSIVE: Ken DuBow’s LA-based Opus Distribution will be introducing buyers on the Croisette to the horror film Ex Inferis from director Leonardo Araneo.

Roberto Zibetti, whose credits include Bernardo Bertolucci’s Stealing Beauty and Dario Argento’s Sleepless, stars in the story of six friends whose idyllic country sojourn turns into a nightmare when one of them appears to become possessed.

The project shot on location in Italy is currently in post and is being produced by Pierfrancesco Fiorenza for The Talking Tree.

Meanwhile DuBow announced sales on his pre-Cannes slate, closing a deal with Donau Films in Germany for Bad Behaviour starring Australia’s John Jarratt.

Rights to The Christmas Bunny have gone to Screen Media for North America and Showbox in the UK, while DuBow licensed Dead Undead to Phase 4 for North America. Eyeborgs starring Danny Trejo sold to Anchor Bay in Australia following a string of Berlin sales.

“It’s great to have acquired Ex Inferis to add to our Opus Cannes slate and to go into the market with substantial sales across the entire line-up,” DuBow said.

Opus slate includes Truth About Kerry starring Stana Katic and Love At First Lie with Lainie Kazan and Seymour Cassel.
