Film Movement has acquired North American rights to Till Schauder’s documentary about the year Kevin Sheppard played basketball in a professional league in Iran in the lead-up to the Green Revolution.

The Iran Job went on limited theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles last year and will roll out nationwide in June and play on cable VoD and iTunes.

Film Movement president Adley Gartenstein and vp of acquisitions and distribution Rebeca Conget brokered the deal with producers Sara Nodjoumi and Schauder and their attorney Jonathan Gray.
