The franchise finale is showing no sign of letting up its scorching pace as Warner Bros Pictures International said it grossed a further $34m from 59 countries on Tuesday [19] following the confirmed $313.5m opening weekend.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 now stands at $390m after less than one week in release.

This means that combined with the $202.5m North American running total it has already amassed $592.5m worldwide, easily more than half the lifetime global gross of any of the previous seven episodes.

Territory highlights:

The UK generated $4.5m (£2.8m) for $47.4m (£29.8m);

Germany: $3.3m (€2.3m) for $32m (€22.7m);

France: $3m (€2.1m) for $30.2m (€21.5m);

Japan: ($2.5m (¥201.5m) for $32.4m (¥2.6bn); and

Australia: $2.1m (A$2m) for $31.4m (A$29.4m).
