Fox made the announcement on Tuesday (21) as Ice Age: Continental Drift became the second biggest animated release at the international box office on $653m, behind Ice Age 3 on $693.9m.
The series is the biggest of all time for animation.
The final release for the fourth episode is set to open on Sept 28 in Italy, where Ice Age 3 remains the fourth biggest release.
Neon previously released the Japanese auteur’s ‘Broker’.
The film has won prizes at CPH:DOX and the Irish Film and Television Awards.
The film comes out of A24’s now-closed documentary department.
