The Lynne Ramsay film, now in post, has also sold to Benelux, Israel, Greece and the Middle East.

Independent closed a number of deals for Lynne Ramsay’s We Need To Talk About Kevin during the EFM.

The film sold to France (Diaphana), Benelux (Wild Bunch), Israel (Shani), Greece (Seven) and the Middle East (Shooting Stars).

Artificial Eye came on for UK rights at script stage.

Diaphana has a history with Ramsay, previously releasing her features Ratcatcher and Morvern Callar. Kevin is Ramsay’s first feature since 2002’s Morvern Callar.

The film is an adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s bestselling novel, about a mother coming to terms with her son’s violent rampage. Tilda Swinton, John C Reilly and Ezra Miller star.

Independent’s Luc Roeg produces with Jennifer Fox (Michael Clayton, The Informant); and BBC Films has also been involved since the development stage.

The film is now in post.
