The company sent out the screenplay before the Labor Day holiday weekend and anticipates heavy interest on the noir tale as buyers prepare to descend on Canada.

Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe will star in the story of a private eye who uncovers a real estate scandal when he is hired by the mayor to investigate an ultimately murderous affair involving the politician’s wife.

Allen Hughes will direct and Whalberg is producing with Steve Levinson, Randall Emmett and George Furla. The latter two are leading the financing alongside 1984 Films and Inferno.

The company will show footage in Toronto on Predisposed starring Jesse Eisenberg, Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan, which is currently in post.

Inferno handled sales on the festival’s gala premiere Killer Elite starring Jason Statham, Clive Owen and Robert De Niro, which will launch in the US through Open Road on Sept 23.
