EXCLUSIVE: ‘Dutch Shaun of the Dead’ will be released in UK this summer.

Kaleidoscope Film Distribution has acquired has Dutch zombie film Zombibi for both UK distribution and international sales.

The deal was negotiated by Kaleidoscope’s Caroline Stern, Director of International Sales and Acquisitions and Frank Groenveld of A-Film.

The A-Film, Launch Works & Talent United co-production, described as a ‘Dutch Shaun of the Dead,’ will be presented at Cannes market and will be released in the UK this summer. It has already been a box-office success in the Netherlands.

Stern said: “We gravitate towards genre films that deliver more than surface scares. Zombibi is outrageously entertaining and makes a real contribution to the genre. We look forward to introducing the film with screenings at Cannes.”

Groenveld added: “A-Film, Launch Works and Talent United are very excited working with Kaleidoscope on the international sales of Zombibi.”
