The studio has closed a deal for North American rights to Adam Wingard’s Midnight Madness hit and confirmed it has acquired alongside Roadside Attractions North American rights to the ensemble drama Friends With Kids.

You’re Next stars Sharni Vinson, Joe Swanberg, A J Bowen and others as guests at a family reunion in a remote mansion that comes under attack from masked assailants. Unbeknown to the intruders, one of the guests is a tough survivalist.

Snoot Entertainment’s Keith Calder and Jessica Wu produced with Simon Barrett and Kim Sherman. Lionsgate’s Jason Constantine, Eda Kowan and Wendy Jaffe negotiated the deal with CAA and Erik Hyman of Loeb and Loeb on behalf of Snoot.

The deal for Jennifer Westfeldt’s Friends With Kids was brokered by Constantine, Kowan and Jaffe with Cinetic’s John Sloss and Jackie Eckhouse of Sloss Eckhouse LawCo. Roadside Attractions will handle the theatrical release and Lionsgate holds all other rights.

Red Granite produced the film and retains international rights. Red Granite head Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland produced with Westfeldt and Jon Hamm’s Points West Pictures, Jake Kasdan and Locomotive.
