The company will release the Kate Hudson rom-com A Little Bit Of Heaven in North America in April, while Sycamore Entertainment has unveiled its second acquisition.

Millennium Entertainment CEO Bill Lee made the announcement on Tuesday (17). A Little Bit Of Heaven was set up originally at Millennium president Mark Gill’s previous company, The Film Department, which shut down last May.

The project also stars Gael Garcia Bernal, Lucy Punch and Kathy Bates, among others. Nicole Kassell directed from an original screenplay by Gren Wells. The film will launch on VoD on Apr 3 followed by a platform theatrical release on May 4.

Sycamore Entertainment Group meanwhile has taken US rights to Fred Schepisi’s The Eye Of The Storm starring Geoffrey Rush, Charlotte Rampling and Judy Davis.

Judy Morris’ screenplay is based on Patrick White’s 1973 Australia novel of the same name about tumultuous family relationships.

Sycamore CEO Edward Sylvan negotiated the deal with Robbie Little of The Little Film Company, which handles worldwide sales. Australia Broadcasting Corporation, Screen Australia, Film Victoria, Ingenious and Omnilab financed.
