Sales company also working with Samaritan Entertainment on Repatriate.

I Declare War, the Lord of the Flies-style coming of age action drama featuring a cast of kids that won Best Film and Best Screenplay at last week’s ActionFest in North Carolina, has been picked up for world sales by UK outfit Moviehouse.

This is one of two films from Toronto-based production outfit Samaritan Entertainment that Moviehouse will be representing. The other is Repatriate (soon to be re-titled You Bury Your Own), which is still in post-production.

I Declare War is directed by Jason Lapeyre. It’s based around a war game played by a dozen ferociously competitive youngsters in the forest. The producers are Robert Wilson, Lewin Webb and Patrick Cameron.

Repatriate, shot in Brooklyn and Manhattan, is a thriller about a former soldier returning home to New York haunted by a tour of duty who tries to unpick the truth behind his younger brother’s sudden death. The director is Robert Wilson and the producers are Wilson, Lewin Webb and Patrick Cameron.

Both films will be on Moviehouse’s Cannes slate.
