EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) has acquired UK home entertainment rights to Best Laid Plans from AV Pictures.

Andy Armstrong, SPHE Managing Director, Northern Europe, said, “This film, about friendships tested to the limit, boasts an award-winning director and stars a critically-acclaimed cast.”

AV’s Managing Director Vic Bateman added, “AV Pictures are thrilled that Sony have shown their faith in the potential of this inspirational project from such a talented team.”

Award-winning director David Blair directs the story of a hustler who has to get his mentally challenged best friend to take part in an underground fight ring. The cast features Stephen Graham, Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje, David O’Hara, and Maxine Peake.

The film is produced by Michael Knowles & Stacey Murray for Made Up North Productions and Brad Moore & Mark Foligno for Moli Films in Association with EM Media and AV Pictures, for whom Lee Brazier is overseeing production.
