The distributor closed the deal on Asghar Farhadi’s Nader And Simin, A Separation with Memento Films International. 

The film takes place in Contemporary Iran and chronicles the end of a marriage. Simin wants to leave Iran with her husband Nader and daughter Termeh and sues for divorce when Nader refuses to leave behind his Alzheimer-suffering father.

Farhadi was named best director at the 2009 Berlinale for his previous film About Elly.

Memento Films International and SPC last worked together on The Class.
