Thor Heyerdahl’s 1951 documentary will air exclusively on May 11 on Sundance Channel and will be followed by a broadcast of the featurette Kon-Tiki: The Incredible True Story.
The event coincides with the recent release in theatres by TWC of Joachim Roenning and Espen Sandberg’s Norwegian foreign language Oscar nominee Kon-Tiki [pictured].
Heyerdahl’s film won the best documentary Oscar in 1951 and charts his 4,300-mile journey from Peru to Polynesia.
