Vision Films has picked up worldwide rights to Emmanuel Itier’s documentary Femme and arrives on the Croisette with the film’s executive producer and narrator Sharon Stone to boost sales.

The film celebrates the strength of women and features interviews with the likes of Stone, Marianne Williamson, Gloria Steinem, Nobel Peace laureates Shirin Ebadi and Mairead Maguire, Maria Bello, Angela Davis and Rickie Lee Jones.

“I have been a fan of Emmanuel’s work since I screened The Invocation,” said Lisa Romanoff, MD and CEO of worldwide distribution. “Femme is truly a thought-provoking film and I hope our buyers enjoy it.”

Fabrication Films has picked up international rights to Hong Kong filmmaker Stanley J Orzel’s romantic drama Lost For Words. The film debuted at the Hong Kong International Film Festival and makes its market debut in Cannes. Sean Faris, Grace Huang and Will Yun Lee star in the Studio Strada production in association with Dynasty One Limited.

Canadian sales company Double Dutch International has added four titles to its Cannes slate: Detour, Saving Santa, The Assignment 1.0 and Winter of Discontent.

Double Dutch has closed key territories on several tiles. Cold Blooded has gone to Uncorked Entertainment for the US, OFdB for Germany, Premiere TV for Benelux, HBO Central Europe and Russian Pay TV

Warhouse has sold to XLrator in the UK, 4Digital Media in the UK and to Russian Pay TV. House Of Last Things has been licensed to UMS1 for Russia and Sinema TV for Turkey

Conception has ended up at UMS1 for Russia, Koch Media for Scandinavia and Rio Negro Films for Brazil. Union Square has wound up at Rio Negro Films for Brazil, Nowcontents for South Korea and Shamangkolfilm for Thailand

General Education has sold to UMS1 for Russia, Shamangkolfilm for Thailand and Rio Negro Films for Brazil.
