WestEnd Films has added another title to its Cannes slate.

London-based outfit WestEnd Films will be handling sales on new British drama Albatross, from CinemaNX.

Upcoming star Felicity Jones (Cemetery Junction, Chalet Girl) (pictured), Sebastian Koch (The Lives of Others, Black Book), Julia Ormond (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and newcomer Jessica Brown headline the cast of Albatross, which is directed by Niall MacCormick (BAFTA-nominated for Margaret Thatcher: The Long Walk to Finchley).

The producer is Adrian Sturges for CinemaNX – with whom WestEnd collaborated on hit thriller The Disappearance of Alice Creed.

A coming of age story, the film is about a family whose world is turned upside down when the beautiful and rebellious Emelia explodes into their lives.

The film is currently in production. WestEnd, whose titles Tamara Drewe and Chatroom will premiere in official selection, will be commencing sales and showing footage in Cannes.
