Jonathan Lisecki’s SXSW comedy will open theatrically later this year in partnership with The Film Collaborative following a low six-figure deal.
Gayby tells of a gay man and a straight woman who decide to have a child together.
“Gayby is the funniest movie I’ve seen in years,” Wolfe president Maria Lynn said. “It’s a pleasure to be able to work with such a talented filmmaker as Jonathan Lisecki and help him reach the widespread audience he deserves.”
Jenn Harris and Matthew Wilkas star and Amy Hobby and Anne Hubbell produced. Zeke Farrow and Laura Heberton served as executive producers.
Orly Ravid of The Film Collaborative brokered the deal.
