Filmmaker PJ Pettiette and Claudie Viguerie have partnered with Louisiana Oil magnate Greg Hall to form Dixie Theatrical Corporation.
The new company will produce, finance, distribute and handle international sales and is based in Los Angeles and Oil City, Louisiana.
Dixie Theatrical Corporation’s debut film is the revenge thriller Julia X 3D, set to receive its market premiere in Cannes.
Pettiette directed the story of a girl who is assaulted by an internet date and turns the tables on the man, revealing that in fact she and her sister are themselves internet predators. Valerie Azlynn, Kevin Sorbo, Ving Rhames, Joel David Moore and Alicia Leigh Willis star. Pettiette produced with Greg Hall and Claudie Viguerie and co-wrote the screenplay with Matt Cunningham.
Pettiette launched the production label Hybrid Pictures and General Productions and prior to that worked as an independent producer.
Viguerie oversees international sales and was head of sales at Hybrid, which she launched with Pettiette.
