Dan Gurlitz has been promoted to senior vice-president of video at E1 Entertainment.

Gurlitz previously served in the capacity as vice-president of video and joined the company in 2003 to oversee and develop its growing video division and to assume the role of general manager for Koch Vision/Koch Lorber films.

Gurlitz will continue to report to E1 Entertainment US president Michael Rosenberg and will maintain his role as general manager for Koch Vision/Koch Lorber Films, now E1 Entertainment.

Reporting to Gurlitz are Wally Schmidt, vice-president of marketing and product development; Janet Baker, director of sales; Matt Farina, senior label manager; and Ryan Cooper, label manager. 

Prior to joining E1 Entertainment, Gurlitz was general manager at Wellspring Media and before that held the position of video president at Unapix Entertainment.
