Los Angeles-based productionand distribution company Echelon Entertainment has bought all worldwide rightsto Double Destiny, a true wartimesaga about identical twins raised separately, one as a Nazi and one as a Jew.

The story starts withefforts to reunite the brothers in 1980, 35 years after they were forced tolive apart during the second world war, one with his mother in Nazi Germany andthe other with his father in Trinidad.

Double Destiny is being produced by Bill Blake and Gloria Morrisonand written by Anthony Leigh Adams and Christina Adams.

Blake, whose producingcredits include Wisegirls and Rhinestone, told Screendaily he hoped the film would go intoproduction either late this year or in early 2004.
