Randall Emmett and GeorgeFurla's Emmett/Furla Films has acquired the rights to Stephen Katz and JohnDarrouzet's thriller screenplay The Contract.

This will be the firstproject on a new slate of 10 pictures to be handled under the extendednon-exclusive international distribution deal with Millennium Films, reportedhere last week (Screendaily.com, Apr 15).

The Contract is a father-and-son redemption story involving oneman's bid to bring a world-class assassin to justice.

Katz's television creditsinclude LA Law, Knight Rider, The A-Team and Hunter.
