Eric Robinson has been promoted to senior vice president of production and development at The Weinstein Company, (TWC).

Robinson previously served as vice president of production and will continue to report to be based in New York and report to co-president of production Michael Cole.

'Eric is an invaluable asset with his strong relationships, keen creative instincts, and amazing ability to find great material,' Cole said.

Robinson currently oversees the development and production of all animated projects for the company including Escape From Planet Earth, Cricket In Times Square, Igor, Artemis Fowl, and Hoodwinked sequel Hood Vs Evil.

Robinson started his career in 1999 as an assistant at WMA and began his rise through the ranks after he joined Miramax in 2000 as executive assistant to Harvey Weinstein.
