Portugal's Cooperativa Cinema Novo, organisers of the Oporto International Film Festival (aka Fantasporto) have picked up all rights in Portugal on a handful of films from the festival's recent 21st edition.
Recent pick-ups include The Price Of Milk, The Irrefutable Truth About Demons, The Filth And The Fury, Purely Belter, Possessed, Lontano In Fondo Agli Ochi, Non Con Un Bang, The Isle (Seom), Happy End, Subconscious Cruelty, La Mujer Mas Fea Del Mundo and El Arte De Morir.
Not the first time the festival has made such a move. in the past films have been exhibited in local AMC theaters.
The festival which wrapped last month (Feb 23-Mar 3) awarde dits top prize to Alejandro Inaturri's Love's A Bitch (Amores Perros) , with second prize going to KimKi-duk's The Isle.
The next festival will be extended and run from Feb 15 to March 4, 2002.
