Head of international sales, Go2Films
- Studied English literature and communications at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- Joined Go2Films as sales executive in 2021
In reference to her undergraduate studies, Nur Hadas says English broadened her intellectual horizons while communications provided practical skills for a media career. But her favourite part of university was the elective film courses that steered her towards a career in the film industry.
While still studying, Hadas worked at an NGO, helping to write grant proposals and manage donor communications — an experience that helped pave the way for a job as sales executive at Israeli documentary distributor Go2Films. “It required strong, persuasive writing and relationship management — skills directly transferable to sales,” says Hadas.
Since 2023, she has managed worldwide sales for Go2Films, while also overseeing international marketing strategy, managing social media and press outreach. She is also involved in acquisitions. Recently, a major focus has been driving sales for titles such as Berlinale premiere A Letter To David, Rotterdam title Eid and Santa Barbara pic Soda.
Having started in the industry in the post-Covid era, Hadas says the most valuable lesson has been the importance of adaptability. “I didn’t witness the strategies that might have been successful before, so my entry point was into a reality where change was already the norm,” she notes.
Looking ahead, Hadas plans to deepen her industry knowledge by pursuing a masters focused on the film business. She also wants to become more involved in the earlier stages of the filmmaking process — development and production. “Gaining a better understanding of how films are made, and contributing earlier on, feels like a crucial step for growth,” she says.
