If you are feeling too old, tired or hygienic to actually travel to Glastonbury, then the new W London hotel has a solution.

The hotel, in Leicester Square, will kick off its new series of summer festival screenings today with a screening of documentary Glastonbury The Movie followed by live footage from the festival itself.

“Some music lovers just want to dip in and out of the festival experience without encountering the busy crowds or muddy fields. From the luxury of our private screening room, guests will be able to enjoy the best of the action and watch the key headliners in comfort,” says Kevin Rockey, GM of W London – Leicester Square.

And no queing in the mud for drinks, either — there will be table service in the screening room (how civilised). But the Woodstock-inspired Absinth Martini created for the screenings might only be for hard-core rockers.

After Glastonbury, the screenings will include Gimme Shelter and T in the Park (July 8), Woodstock and V Festival (Aug 19) and Beyond Black Rock and Reading Festival (Aug 26)

Tickets start at £5. For more information go to the W’s Calendar.
