Philip Seymour Hoffman will star in Park Pictures Features’ God’s Pocket from directorial first-timer John Slattery of Mad Men fame.

Slattery and Alex Metcalf adapted the screenplay from Pete Dexter’s novel of the same name about a construction site death that lands a blue-collar worker in trouble.

Richard Jenkins, Christina Hendricks and John Turturro round out the key cast. Jay Cohen of Gersh handles worldwide sales.

Park Pictures Features will produce in partnership with Hoffman’s Cooper’s Town Productions and Slattery’s Shoestring Pictures.

Individual producers are Sam Bisbee, Jackie Kelman Bisbee, Slattery, Lance Acord and Galt Niederhoffer for Park Pictures and Emily Ziff and Hoffman for Cooper’s Town. Wendy Neu and White Hat Entertainment’s Danny Rifkin, Tom Valerio, Rick Rifkin and Bill Perry serve as executive producer.
