Film shot extensively in the Emirate.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol will have its world premiere as the opening film of the eighth Dubai International Film Festival on Dec 7.

Brad Bird directs Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Paula Patton, Michael Nyqvist, Vladimir Mashkov, Josh Holloway, Anil Kapoor and Léa Seydoux,in the fourth installment in the franchise.

Cruise, Bird and co-stars are expected to be in attendance on the red carpet in Dubai.

The Paramount production shot extensively in Dubai, including shoots in the old town, downtown financial hub and offshore Palm Island. One scene shows Cruise climbing the world’s tallest building, Dubai’s Burj Khalifa.

The film also shot in Prague, Moscow, Mumbai and Vancouver.
