The 52nd Thessaloniki International Film Festival (Nov 4-13) has announced the features and shorts selected for its Balkan Survey, programmed by Dimitri Kerkinos.

The features of the Balkan Survey’s core programme will be:

Best Intentions, Adrian Sitaru (Romania)

Loverboy, Catalin Mitulescu (Romania/Sweden/Serbia)

The Island (Ostrovat),  Kamen Kalev (Bulgaria/Sweden)

Ave (Abe), Konstantin Bojanov (Bulgaria)

The Forgiveness of Blood, Joshua Marston (US/Albania/Denmark/Italy)

The Enemy (Neprijatelj ), Dejan Zecevic (Serbia/Bosnia/Croatia/Hungary)

Punk’s Not Dead (Pankot ne e mrtov), Vladimir Blazevski (FYROM/Serbia)

Press, Sedat Yilmaz (Turkey)

The festival will also offer a tribute to Turkish director Erden Kiral, the first European festival to have a special programme devoted to his work. He will also attend the festival to discuss his films, which include A Season in Hakkari (1983), Blue Exile (1993), On The Way (2005), and Golden Horn (2010).
