The Tokyo International FIlm Festival will unveil a new award for its Competition section, the WOWOW Viewer’s Choice Award.
Pay TV broadcaster WOWOW will be a presenting sponsor of an award for the first time at TIFF.
The cash prize will be worth $10,000.
Six viewers of WOWOW’s channels will be chosen to serve on the selection committee.
On November 22, WOWOW will plan a special broadcast and live events tied to TIFF.
TIFF runs Oct 23-31.
