Andrew Herwitz'sFilm Sales Company has reported a successful first foray into foreign sales atCannes, sealing deals on a number of titles.

All rights to Nimrod Antal's Hungarian hit and Un Certain Regardentry Kontroll were sold to ICA Projects in the UK, Lady Films in Italyand Tiberius Films in Germany.

As previously reported, Think Films will release Kontroll,a thriller involving ticket inspectors, in North America.

All rights to Kevin Willmott's slavery satire CSA: ConfederateStates Of America, on which Spike Lee served as executive producer, weresold to Tartan Films in the UK and ABL in Spain.

IFC Films plans to release the picture in North America in thefirst quarter of 2005, around the same time as ThinkFilm will open Kontroll.

Travis Klose's documentary Arakimentari sold to ElephantPictures for theatrical release in Japan and to the UK's Tartan Films.

Tartan Films also picked up North American video rights to thepicture for its recently launched label (Screendaily.com, May 13).
