Buyers are swarming round Panorama entry, Lemon Tree. The film, being sold
at the EFM by Paris-based Films Distribution, has been picked up for a number of territories following its first official screening earlier in the week.

Deals confirmed include Benelux (Cineart), Switzerland (Agora), Seville Pictures (Canada), Teodora (Italy), Film Trade (Greece) and Golem (Spain). Other territories are pending with strong interest from US comapanies.

Lemon Tree is directed by Eran Riklis (Syrian Bride). It is the story of a Palestinian woman (Hiam Abbas) fighting to protect her lemon tree grove against the Israeli bureaucracy which believes the garden poses a threat to the Defence minister and his family who live in their new mansion located next to her.
