Seoul-based Fine Cut has picked up international sales rights to LeeSong Hee-il's Break Away and SK Jhung's Searching For The Elephant (working title) starring heartthrob Jang Hyuk (Volcano High).

Break Away is LeeSong's second feature after the controversial gay drama No Regret, which was at Pusan and Berlin.

Based on true events, the film will take a close and critical look at South Korea's mandatory military service system. It follows three young soldiers in a desperate six days' when they break out of the barracks. Currently in post-production, the film looks likely to premiere at Berlin.

Searching For The Elephant is SK Jhung's debut feature starring Jang Hyuk who has been gaining popularity in Japan through his drama series Tazza, the TV version of the hit film Tazza: The High Rollers.

The film is about three childhood friends, reunited after 12 years whose friendship soon faces an unexpected twist when one has an affair with another's wife.

Fine Cut says the film is has finished 90% of shooting and should be completed by March 2009.
