First Look HomeEntertainment, a division of First Look Media, has hired two key members ofLions Gate Home Entertainment's sell-through team, with Michael L Katchmanjoining as vice president of sales, sell-thru, and Marty Dattilo as salesmanager, sell-thru.

Katchman will reportdirectly to Bill Bromiley, senior vice president of First Look HomeEntertainment, and Dattilo will report to Katchman.

Both men are video industryveterans of more than 15 years. Katchman served as vice president of sales at LionsGate's sell-thru division. Prior to Lions Gate, Katchman served as vicepresident sales, rental at MGM Home Entertainment.

As director of sales in thesame division at Lions Gate from 2002, Dattilo's retail client roster includedWal-Mart, Transworld and Circuit City. He previously served as director ofsales, sell-thru/rental at New Concorde Home Entertainment and prior to that servedat Artisan Entertainment.

"Both Katchman and Dattilo'svast experience and retail contacts in the sell-thru marketplace will enable usto expand our sell-thru business," Bromiley said in a statement.

"We've picked up the rightsto a number of strong sell-thru titles recently, and we're on the verge ofannouncing the acquisition of a major television series, so the timing couldn'tbe better for us."

First Look HomeEntertainment's release schedule includes Don't Tempt Me, starring Penelope Cruz and Gael Garcia Bernal, Leo, starring Elizabeth Shue and Joseph Fiennes, PictureClair, starring Juliette Lewis, GinaGershon and Mickey Rourke, and Miranda, which stars Christina Ricci, Kyle MacLachlan and John Hurt.
