Bosnian director Pjer Zalica's feature debut Fuse (Gori Vatra) which had its world premiere in the Official Competition at the Locarno International Film Festival on August 11, has been picked up for international distribution by Flach Pyramide International.

The tragicomedy about a small-town in Bosnia embarking on a race against the clock to hide its darker side before the visit of US President Bill Clinton, was co-produced by Sarajevo-based Refresh Production with Austrian production house Novotny & Novotny and has been regarded by one Swiss daily newspaper as the hottest competition title to screen so far.

Gori Vatra will also be the opening film at this year's Sarajevo Film Festival at its open air ceremony on Friday evening (August 15) and will be released in Bosnia & Herzegovina in September by the Obala Arts Centar.
