WarnerBros Entertainment has named Susan Fleishman to its top communicationsposition. She will become Executive Vice President, Corporate Communications,effective from September 26.

Fleishmanreplaces executive vice president and chief corporate communications officerBarbara Brogliatti, who retired from Warners after 18 years in May.

Fleishman,an experienced communications veteran, will oversee all of Warner'scommunications strategies worldwide, including media relations, employeecommunications, government relations and executive communications.

Fleishmanhas spent the last decade at Universal Studios, where she was most recentlySenior Vice President, community affairs, for NBC Universal and SVP ofcorporate media affairs for Universal Studios. She joined Universal in 1995 asexecutive director, corporate communications and public affairs.

Fleishmanwill report directly to Warner chairman and CEO, Barry M Meyer, who made theannouncement yesterday.

"We will look to Sue tohelp formulate and communicate, both internally and externally, our position oncritical issues such as piracy, runaway production and First Amendmentquestions," said Meyer. "It is crucial that we have a knowledgeable,effective and respected voice representing us. We believe we've found thisvoice in Sue."
