Focus Features hasrestructured its international division following the appointment of AlisonThompson as president.

In the move announced toScreen by co-presidents David Linde and James Schamus, Heta Paarte becomessenior vice president of international marketing and publicity and Tim Spenceris named senior vice president of international sales.

Both executives formerlyheld the roles of vice president in their respective fields and have been atFocus since its inception in spring 2002. Before that they served together atFocus' previous incarnation Good Machine.

They will report directly toThompson, who arrives from Pathe Pictures International and starts work in London on Sept 26.

At Focus Paarte has handledworldwide marketing and publicity for such pictures as Lost In Translation,Talk To Her and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.

Prior to that she served ashead of marketing at Good Machine International, overseeing campaigns for aroster of titles including Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Spencer's sales credits forFocus and Good Machine include Hero, 21 Grams, Lost InTranslation and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

Thompson will oversee allinternational sales, distribution, and publicity activities. She reports toLinde and Schamus and Focus chief operating officer Andrew Karpen.

"We've been working withHeta and Tim for the better part of a decade now, since the heyday of GoodMachine, and they've been invaluable in growing Focus International," Linde andSchamus said.
