Focus Features has picked up worldwide rights to Jim Jarmusch's tentatively titled The Limits Of Control, which has been set for a pre-strike shoot in Spain early next year.

Focus Features International commences sales hereon the story of a loner who operates outside the law and works on a mysterious assignment. Isaach De Bankole will star.

The deal reunites Jarmusch with studio following Broken Flowers, which Focus launched at Cannes in 2005 and went on to become the film-maker's biggest release.

Longtime Jarmusch collaborator Stacey Smith and Gretchen McGowan will produce and Jon Kilik will serve as executive producer.

The film's artistic credentials are further bolstered by the involvement of famed cinematographer Christopher Doyle and production designer Eugenio Caballero, who won this year's art direction Oscar for Pan's Labryinth.

Focus' president of production John Lyons and senior vice president of European production Teresa Moneo will oversee for Focus.

Jarmusch and his company, PointBlank Films, were represented by Bart Walker of Cinetic Media in the deal.
