Principal photography has begun on Around June, a romance being jointly produced by San Francisco-based Fog City Pictures and Los Angeles-based Caviar Films.

Samaire Armstrong, Brad William Henke, Jon Gries and Puerto Rican newcomer Oscar Guerrero star in the story of a downtrodden young woman who falls for a penniless immigrant.

The film will be shot entirely on hi-definition digital video in the San Francisco area. Fog City Pictures' James Savoca will direct from his own screenplay.

Greg Corbin of Caviar Films (formerly Atomik Pictures) is producing with Fog City Pictures' Jeremiah Birnbaum, Ralph King and Savoca. Alyssa Weisberg of Weisberg Casting is serving as executive producer.

Birnbaum is the co-founder and chief executive officer of the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking and Fog City Pictures.

Since joining Caviar Films, Corbin has assembled a slate of more than 15 projects in various stages of development, including Senor Vasquez And The Holy with Alfred Molina.

Prior to joining Caviar Films Corbin served as director of development at Jericho Entertainment, based at Davis Entertainment at 20th Century Fox.
