Fortissimo Film Sales has picked up world rights outside North America to PS I Love You, the second film by Dylan Kidd, director of the award winning Roger Dodger.

The film is a romantic comedy with an all-star cast headed by Laura Linney, Marcia Gay Harden, Gabriel Byrne, Topher Grace, Paul Rudd and Lois Smith. Based on a novel by Helen Schulman, it features Linney as a divorced woman who meets a younger man with an uncanny resemblance to her first boyfriend. She has to decide whether he is real or a reincarnation.

The film is produced by the New York-based Hart Sharp Entertainment, which also produced the Linney-starring You Can Count On Me, and Anne Chaison. Fortissimo co-chiefs Wouter Barendrecht and Michael J Werner are executive producers. The deal was brokered by Cinetic Media's John Sloss, Hart Sharp's Michael Hogan and Fortissimo's Barendrecht and Werner.

Based in The Netherlands and Hong Kong, Fortissimo has long been considered a specialist purveyor of Asian film, but has recently expanded to represent art films from around the globe. It recently enjoyed great success with US documentary Capturing The Friedmans and co-produced Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey's Party Monster.
