Sony/MGM's Quantum Of Solace remains the one to beat heading into the weekend although the James Bond saga can expect to get shaken and stirred by several new arrivals.

The 007 tale has raced to $312m through Sony Pictures Releasing International and should finish the weekend close to $340m through strong holdover business and a New Zealand opening on November 27.

Summit International's Twilight arrives in nine smaller territories including Belgium this weekend; the vampire romance has bitten off more than $10m since launching in several markets last week.

Fox International launches Baz Luhrmann's epic adventure Australia in - where else' - Australia on November 26 as well as two smaller markets. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman and debuts in North American theatres on November 26.

Fox's action spectacle Max Payne has grossed $36.8m and arrives in five including Belgium on November 26 and Italy and India on November 28. Krabat opens in Austria on November 28 and Choke debuts in Hong Kong on November 27.

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures International kicks off the international career of its animated feature Bolt this weekend, with debuts planned for Russia on November 27 and Italy and Poland a day later.

High School Musical 3: Senior Year stands at $130.3m and opens in Argentina on November 27, while Wall-E has grossed $264.5m and still has the Pixar-friendly market of Japan to go on December 5.

Holocaust drama The Boy In The Striped Pajamas, on $21.8m, opens in Mexico and Denmark on November 28 and the annual Nightmare Before Christmas release opens in the UK on November 28.

Universal's action remake Death Race has taken $31.5m so far and roars into Germany through UPI on November 27 followed by Italy and Denmark on November 28.

The comedy Hamlet 2, which Focus Features snapped up in a $10m worldwide deal at Sundance at the beginning of the year, opens in France on November 26.

The teen romance Wild Child opens in Germany on November 27 and the following day in Mexico and the likely Oscar contender Changeling on $9.5m opens in the UK on November 28.

Burn After Reading's worldwide gross stands at $130.2m and it opens in Brazil on November 28.

DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa on $58.2m opens in 12 territories through PPI this weekend including Spain on November 28.

Warner Bros Pictures International's Body Of Lies has grossed $34.1m and Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe land in Mexico and Brazil on November 28. Nights In Rodanthe stands at $30.6m.

New Line International's police drama Pride & Glory on $5.7m opens in Taiwan on November 28, the Western film Appaloosa stands at $4.7m and the adventure Journey 3D has no new releases lined up this weekend; it stands at $112.8m.
