Fox's Daredevil grossed $11.3m over the weekend, setting a couple ofrecords along the way and raising its international cumulative score to $36.3m.

Leading off a raft of mostlynumber one openings, the comic book adaptation grossed $1.9m on 304 screens inAustralia for the second biggest industry March opening ever. It took $2.8m on579 screens in France, where local language hit Chou Chou held top spot, while Germany yielded $1.9m on 802screens for a second place finish.

Daredevil grossed $98,000 on 72 screens in Argentina, $312,000on 90 in Austria (position unconfirmed), $259,000 on 75 in Belgium, $314,000 on89 in Holland and $216,000 on 43 in Indonesia, which was Fox's third biggestopening weekend ever.

It took $303,000 on 42 inGreece, $125,000 on 64 in Turkey (position unconfirmed), $23,000 on seven inCroatia, $18,000 on seven in Slovenia (position unconfirmed), and $21,000 onnine in Yugoslavia.

In its second weekend inMexico the picture added $1m on 564 screens for a $3.6m running score.

Fox also rolled out theromantic comedy Just Married in twoterritories: it opened number one in the UK with $1.5m on 331 screens andgrossed $103,000 on 54 in Taiwan for an unconfirmed ranking.

Just Married grossed $2.3m over the weekend for a $16.1minternational running total.

Finally, Die Another Day added $2.1m on 569 screens over the weekend, wherethe highlight was a third-weekend $1.6m haul in Japan on 287 screens for a $13mtotal in the market. The picture has now amassed $258.7m at the internationalbox office.
