Aliens will rule the world this weekend when Fox International unleashes The Day The Earth Stood Still day-and-date with North America in approximately 90 countries.

The sci-fi remake stars Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly and touches down in France, Belgium and Switzerland on December 10 and arrives a day later in Germany, Russia, South Korea, Holland, Singapore and New Zealand.

December 12 sees launches in the UK, Mexico, Spain, Italy, all of Scandinavia, India and South Africa, while Tawian receives the film on December 13.

Latest Fox figures put Australia on $10.7m, Babylon AD on $49.3m through all distributors, Max Payne on $43.1m, Mirrors on $41.4m through all distributors and The Rocker on $2.3m.

DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa enjoyed a thunderous expansion last weekend and has now amassed $138.3m. It opens in ten territories through PPI including Brazil on December 12. Tropic Thunder has reached $76.8m and launches in South Korea on December 11.

Sony Pictures Releasing International's Quantum Of Solace is at $361.3m.

Universal/UPI's Hellboy II: The Golden Army has reached $82.9m while Mamma Mia! stands at $426.5m, Death Race has grossed $34.6m and Changeling stands at $20.4m.

Warner Bros Pictures International's Body Of Lies stands at $54.8m and Nights In Rodanthe has amassed $32.6m.

Saw V has taken $43m to date through Mandate International territories.

New Line International's comedy Four Christmases has reached $11.6m and opens this weekend in Hong Kong on December 11.
