MorganFreeman will be among recipients of honorary awards at the Producers Guild ofAmerica's (PGA) third Annual Celebration of Diversity in Los Angeles onOct 7.

Freeman'sexecutive producing credits include Along Came A Spider, Levity, and the in-production drama Colours Straight Up.

Previoushonorees include Salma Hayek, John Singleton, Phil Roman, Ang Lee, DannyGlover, and George Sunga.

PGAexecutive director Vance Van Petten also announced the new President'sCitation award, which will go to a company or studio that demonstrates anoutstanding commitment to diversity in all areas of production, both in frontof and behind the camera.

'Ihave every hope to see the major companies in our industry striving for thisprestigious honor year by year,' Van Petten said.
