Friedenson will report directly to studio president Nick Meyer, with whom she previously worked as head of international marketing at Lionsgate.
She will oversee the growth of the international division with senior vice president of international sales Alex Walton.
In addition to managing the development of international marketing campaigns, publicity initiatives and distribution strategies for Vantage releases with foreign distributors, Friedenson will also collaborate on the marketing and distribution of international titles that flow through the Paramount Pictures International pipeline.
Her first major project for the company will be Michael Moore's follow up to Fahrenheit 9/11, which Vantage has begun to discuss with international buyers on the Croisette. Overture Films holds North American rights and will co-finance with Vantage.
