Frost/Nixon and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button have both received 14 nominations in the British Academy Film Awards longlist, including best film and best director.

The Reader, Slumdog Millionaire, Revolutionary Road, Changeling and The Dark Knighthave each received an impressive 13 nominations. Burn After Reading and Milk have racked up 11 each. All are longlisted for best film.

Another nine films are up for 10 or more awards.

Other films being considered for best film are Doubt, The Wrestler and In Bruges (nine nominations each), The Boy in the Striped Pajamas(eight), Wall-E (six) and I've Loved You So Long (five).

A number of actors and actresses have received two or more nominations.

Kate Winslet is nominated as lead actress for The Reader and Revolutionary Road; while Meryl Streep has been nominated for her roles in Mamma Mia! and Doubt.

In the list for supporting roles Ralph Fiennes gets three nominations (The Reader, In Bruges and The Duchess); John Malkovich is considered for his roles in Changeling and Burn After Reading as is Tilda Swinton for Benjamin Button and Burn After Reading.

There are 15 contenders inalmost all categories of the longlist, five of which will be chosen in the second round of voting.

The best British film is not included on the longlist.

The awards will take place February 8 at London's Royal Opera House.
